New Business Development
Identify potential new business leads through industry periodicals, trade magazines and industry organization memberships
Identify potential agency alliances with non-competitive promotional marketing agencies
Develop an organized system for tracking leads and determining appropriate follow-up
Assist with the creation of new business proposals and presentations
Develop specific letters of attack for prospective clients
Continually monitor and update capabilities presentation to ensure consistency
Assist and lead new business pitches to potential clients
Assist in the creation of project specific budgets
Attend any necessary client follow-up meetings during development phase of project
Client Servicing
Develop professional relationships with assigned clients
Maintain on-going relationships with assigned clients through social and professional functions
Relationship sell to clients
Continually follow-up with clients to determine their needs for new opportunities and up-selling existing business
Act as client service liaison between operations and sales teams
Writing
Copywriting
Proposal Writing
Deck Writing
Account Team Support
Manage the transition phase of a project from the initial "sale" to actual project coordination
Conduct follow-up status meetings on relevant projects
Communicate with activation team and client contacts on project progression
Assist activation team on specific projects as necessary
Administration
Maintain an organized filing system for all business proposal, project correspondence, general office information, etc.
Best Practices
Identify breakthrough concepts and ideas utilized by our competitors or industry vendors
Determine ways to incorporate best practices into operations
Forward best practice information along to supervisor and other employees with suggestions for incorporation
Requested:
5+ years experience of new business development
5+ years experience in project management
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business/Marketing or other related
Strong writing skills and experience in proposal writing
Event Marketing & Promotions Experience
Advanced PowerPoint skills
Apple Operating System
Desired:
Masters in Business Administration
Knowledge of Sales Promotion & Event Marketing Industry, such as:
