What's the Technology Leadership Program (TLP)?
The Technology Leadership Program is a comprehensive, one-year training and development program for select new IT hires at Vanguard. The program is open to college seniors and recent graduates in an IT discipline with either a bachelor's or master's degree, and those with up to two years of professional experience. If you qualify, you'll receive comprehensive training and development designed to expand your skill set and help you understand what makes Vanguard a unique company.

You'll work on projects that support key business groups and initiatives, and attend structured technical training that maximizes your strengths and helps you reach your professional goals. With the guidance of seasoned professionals, you'll develop new solutions that have immediate and meaningful application to our clients.

Positions are available in the following concentrations:

Application Development: Positions in this area focus on the software life cycle; you'll work on programs with direct application to our clients in:
- User interface (UI) design
- Mid-tier or host development
- Requirements analysis
- Application testing and/or application support

Technology Operations: This area is ideal if you want one of these positions in data-center operations:
- Supporting Unix or Windows platforms
- Capacity planning
- Performance analysis and network operations
- Supporting video and voice technologies

Web Services: Positions in this area work closely with business units and multi-disciplinary teams to create impactful user experiences on our award-winning websites. This area offers opportunities for:
- Information architects
- Information designers
- Content writers
- Usability engineers

Do I meet the qualifications?
TLP is designed for entry-level candidates who have the following:
- Graduating students with a bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical/engineering discipline; or recent graduates with up to two years of IT-related experience and a bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical/engineering discipline.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or is required.
- Effective analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status (necessary for consideration).
