Project Description
The job responsibilities include:
* Requirement Analysis
* Test planning, Test Case development, Test script development and test execution
* Defect Management , Testing On Call Support
* Updating the results in Mercury Quality Center
* Tracking the test status
* Achieving 100% schedule adherence and Zero delivery defects

Job Description:
** SEEKING STRONG TESTER **
* Strong knowledge on testing processes and testing life cycle
* Should have knowledge on various testing techniques.
* Should have real time experience in Test planning, Developing Test Cases, Developing Test Scripts, Test execution, Defect Management & Tracking.
* Strong working knowledge in Unix, including shell scripting, awk, nawk programming etc is a must
* Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS is desired
* Knowledge of PERL is not a must but will be an advantage
* Strong working knowledge in Mercury Quality Center including developing scripts, maintaining test plans & defect management is a must
* Knowledge on telecom networks/ network topologies and Inventory Management System concepts is strongly desired
* Understanding of optical networks will be an added advantage
* Candidates with a Knowledge of Telcordia Network, Inventory Management Systems Or Crammer Network Inventory Management Systems will be greatly considered
* Although not required, but candidates with an exposure to development skills in Java , J2EE apps, and having an understanding of Object Oriented programming concepts will be greatly considered
* Experience with Mercury automated testing tools ( QTP ) is desired, but not a must
* Experience in being part of a large-scale Testing projects.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the SDLC.
* Strong analytical skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
