Systems Engineer Position
As Elegrity's Systems Engineer, you will be joining Elegrity's systems engineering team and will be focused on the delivery of a wide range of technology solutions, including innovative technologies such as: Virtualization, Application Delivery, Corporate Messaging, Corporate Securities, Microsoft Infrastructure, and many other solutions to Elegrity's customers on a consultative basis.
Position Description & Contribution
This position has primary responsibility for the delivery of Elegrity services to customers throughout the United States. As part of this position, the individual will be responsible for integrating and delivering technology solutions based on client requirements and in tandem with Elegrity Chief Architects and Senior Engineering team members. In addition, this position provides customer support and direct quality assurance for all projects to which they are assigned. This position is integral in ensuring the success of Elegrity's solutions, and the success of Elegrity's customers.
This position directly impacts the Elegrity bottom line through billable engineering and support work, as well as through collaboration with other team members. In addition, this position enhances Elegrity's customer satisfaction and overall customer relationships and helps leverage these customer relationships within Elegrity's business development efforts.
Skills:
Candidate should meet at least one of these:
1. 3 years application installation
2. 2 years working with Citrix technologies & VMware Virtual Infrastructure
3. 3 years Microsoft Infrastructure experience.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery, including Systems Installation / Integration: This position spends most of its time focused on the successful installation / integration of project based work with customers implementing sophisticated solutions including:
Citrix Solutions
VMware Solutions
Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions
Corporate Security
Application Delivery
2. Project Design: This position will be responsible for collaborating with other Elegrity Engineers to architect, design and implement sophisticated solutions.
3. Customer Support: This position supplies customer support services on an ongoing basis to support the technology environments of Elegrity's customers.
4. Quality Assurance: This position is responsible for ensuring ongoing quality for consulting work and solutions delivery.
5. Sales Proposals: This position will be actively involved in business development efforts in existing clients, as well as prospects through the delivery of product demonstrations and generation of proposals.
Required Skills
Candidates interested in working with Elegrity should meet at least one (1) of the following areas of expertise and note those areas in the interview process:
1. Minimum of three (3) years application installation, packaging and integration experience required. Must have intimate knowledge of the anatomy of an application, including comprehensive understanding of the registry and user profiles and how applications interact with these components. *This is a core requirement of this position.*
2. Minimum of two (2) years experience working with Citrix technologies, including Citrix Web Interface and Citrix Access Gateway.
3. Minimum of two (2) years "Real-World" "production" experience working with VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
4. Minimum of three (3) years Microsoft Infrastructure experience, including Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange server.
Requirements detailed below are requirements for all candidates regardless of their prior industry focus.
a. Superb communication skills (written and oral).
b. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
c. Fundamental understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching / routing.
d. Must have experience in large enterprises (500+ users, multiple geographic locations)
e. Customer support experience
f. Highest level of commitment to quality.
g. Ability to generate, and desire to communicate, innovative ideas in a collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills
h. Legal, Financial Services and/or Biotech industry experience a plus.
i. Consulting experience a major plus
* Travel to customer sites throughout the Bay Area should be expected. Travel nationally may be required to fulfill the duties of this position (up to 25%).
