· 5+ Hands on experience in setting up secure networks, hosts and firewalls.
· 5+ Extensive knowledge and hands on experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems.
· Working knowledge of Open-Source security software.
· Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, IPX, Netbios, UDP/IPSNA .
· Demonstrated knowledge of network monitoring techniques.
· Working knowledge of scripting languages including Visual Basic, Perl, XML, C++ and HTML.
· Experience with Windows NT and Unix networks.
· Must have proven ability to develop security policy, standards and procedures.
· Experience with network and application level security and encryption.
· Experience with remote access technology.
· Must have the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team and lead/assist in developing and shaping the company's Security Architecture
· Ability to review current architectures and work with development/architecture teams to plan for new technologies.
· Must have good documentation and presentation skills.
· Project management experience a plus.
Initial Project Assignment / Responsibilities
To work in Information Security to design a comprehensive security architecture and develop a full functioned prevention and monitoring process. Will take the lead in developing and implementing security best practices for the Wintel, Unix and Network infrastructures and conducting vulnerability assessments of the various platforms. Projects will include designing internal and external firewall configurations, establishing scanning points around critical systems and planning for overall security controls within a large, distributed network. Serve as a subject matter expert on network and information security. A large portion of time will be committed to designing security solutions for e-commerce and business to business solutions.
