Job Summary -- (Role Summary) :

A Product Analyst or "PA" is responsible for analyzing the business needs of Revenue & Guest Technology Clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions for internal and channel initiatives that generate nearly $8B/year.

The Product Analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems.

The Product Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Must possess industry or domain knowledge and familiarity in addition to understanding the end to end technology impacts and implications of the product
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

Ask questions about stakeholders and systems that the business hasn't mentioned and ensure those requirements are included as well.



Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish between the underlying true needs of the product from both a functional and non-functional needs perspective

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed, based on the needs and scope/size of the project: Functional requirements, Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases or Use Case Models, impact analysis, GUI, Screen and Interface designs

Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules

Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers

Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application, functional and operational requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

Communication skills between technical and non-technical personnel at all levels within an organization and expertise at non-confrontational conflict management

Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow

Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language and manage changes to the requirements

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and roadmaps and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

Provide context and oversight on projects and initiatives impacting or involving their product domain

Provide leadership in ensuring the business needs of the product are continually achieved and enhanced

Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams

Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings
