SUMMARY:
The SAP Supply Chain Specialist owns all IT-related activities for the business group, including project planning, development, implementation, configuration, and support of SAP and other applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Liaises with business groups for all IT-related issues
* Identifies technical or process solutions to meet needs
* Completes ROI analysis to determine feasibility of projects
* Evaluates requests for system modifications and provides feedback
* Performs disaster recovery/business continuity planning and testing
* Ensures adherence to accepted project management practices
* Creates and maintains functional documentation, standards, and policies
* Provides cross-training to insure backup support expertise
* Manages vendor relationships to maximize benefits
* Actively seeks to improve business efficiency
* Performs other job functions as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in CS or related discipline
* 5+ yrs SAP exp in MM, PP, WM & SD
· 3+ yrs project management exp
· 5+ yrs exp working with specific business group applications in an ERP environment
· Strong problem-solving skills, ability to use all resources available to resolve issues
· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, possesses the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams
· Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex concepts in easily understandable terms.
