Vistronix, Inc. is seeking a dynamic C#, .NET programmer to join our team in Fort Collins, CO. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced with operations and deployment of custom software systems. Position duties will include:
•Design, implement, and administer an independent build process from which released code for all applications will be checked-out, verified, built, and made available for the creation of a deployment-ready installation package
•Provide design guidance and direction on the effective use of tools, templates, standards, frameworks, shared libraries, and common operational utilities to facilitate manageable and supportable production application deployments
•Establish best practice approach for the discovery, identification, utilization, diagnostics, and testing of Web Services consistent with a SOA-based architecture
Education and Experience:
Preferred:
•6 years experience development, deployment, and administration of systems and/or applications in an enterprise class data center
Required:
•Four year technical degree such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering or a combination of at least 3 years of similar experience with progress towards a bachelor or graduate technical degree
Required Skills and Competencies:
•Firm understanding of SOA-based application principles, architecture, and deployment
•4+ years experience using Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET with a working understanding of Object Oriented design techniques
•Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005/2008
•AJAX, DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript, Cross-browser DHTML web design
•XML programming
•Familiarity with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
•Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005 basic administration tasks, SQL Server security model, basic data modeling principles
•Operating system experience with Windows XP, 2000, and 2003
•Strong modeling, documentation, and reporting skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
•Automated build process methodologies and scripting tools and techniques
•Ant, nAnt, and/or MS Build experience
•Familiarity with InstallShield or other similar installation package generation tools
•Experience with Subversion (SVN) or similar source control management system
•CodeBeamer - Web-based team collaboration and project management tool
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products including Visio and Project
•Familiarity with Linux OS
•Business process analysis
