Have you built scalable server systems that require more than database skills? As a software developer you will deliver key server components that will ensure the sanity of our operations team as scanR grows.
scanR is a mobile imaging service that turns camera phones into a user friendly but sophisticated imaging and data processing scanner. Funded by established venture investors, scanR provides an international service that is changing how people use their camera phones. We are looking for driven, talented people to complete our team of industry veterans.
Required skills
* 4+ years of software development experience
* Deep knowledge of C#/.NET or C++
* Demonstrable experience building scalable, fault-tolerant server software
* Strong grasp of object oriented design principles
* Strong communication skills and work well in a team environment
* Produce and value high quality, maintainable code
* Thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, start-up environment
Desired Skills
* Knowledge of low-level networking protocols
* Knowledge of database scaling issues
* Experience with integrating 3rd party APIs
* Startup experience
Education
* Bachelors in Computer Science or Mathematics from top university, or equivalent experience.
