How many organizations can say that they have worked with top tier universities and their research departments to develop alternative fuel resource initiatives; created major enhancements in the development of complex technical applications; or assisted in the creation of more than 80% of the world's largest aircraft manufacturer's production? Stop counting, the answer is not many, if that.
Aquent's client is searching for a candidate to lead the Interactive team responsible for front end architecture and operations of their North American site and 12 international websites. This position, referred to as the Interactive Operations Manager will manage the team in their search engine capability, domain management, site performance and reliability, front end design technologies and publishing tools.
More Details:
- Define and communicate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding standards.
- Collaborate with visual designers, usability specialists, and application developers to:
- Create production-quality HTML/CSS/JavaScript code for use in content management JSPs, web applications (including eCommerce and electronic software distribution) and site templating engines.
- Own and engineer structured CSS to control web page elements on over 90,000 web pages.
- Translate wireframes and prototypes into production-quality templates.
- Construct website elements such as navigation tools, page layout templates, graphical elements, form elements, color schemes, etc.
- Collaborate with the design team to define design patterns including code examples.
- Manage at least 4 direct reports in the Web Operations staff.
- Coordinate with the Creative Services team to help maintain and update site content when necessary.
Other Requirements:
Qualified Candidates will be able to speak to the following experience:
- 5-7 years of building large, complex, global-centric websites.
- At least 5 years of experience with design and usability of web enabled applications.
- 2+ years of Management experience with at least 3-5 direct reports.
- Expertise in HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, W3C Web Standards and the customary design software.
- Expert knowledge of cross-browser, cross platform compatibility, and design constraints.
Additional knowledge to set you apart from the rest:
- Knowledge of Java, XML, AJAX
- Experience with Flash
- Working knowledge of JSP Programming
- Working knowledge of web server environments and Akamai.
