Manage the Storage SAN, NAS and DAS hardware / software with a goal of 99.99% uptimes at WFS and the Backup environment. Must have knowledge of storage systems and backup environments. Must be able to install, setup, and maintain backup software and WFS backup environment and works with the Senior Storage Engineer to maintain the SAN environment. Understands storage protocols including Fibre Channel, ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, NDMP protocols and hardware that uses these protocols. An understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts and have the ability to program in an administrative language so that automated scripts for the Storage environment can be setup.
May do UNIX work to add users, printers, in the environment
