Job Description
Summary:

While the position falls under the Siemens general heading “Account Manger”, this specific position is an Automation Specialist. The goal of this individual is generate incremental third party domestic sales for Automation products (PLC, I/O (AS) HMI, Software, Networking (PT)) within the Grand Prairie, TX territory; which includes Dallas, East Texas, West Texas, Norther Louisiana and New Mexico. The Automation Specialist (AS) will focus on identified target accounts within the geography as defined using SE&A specific planning methods and sales processes. These accounts will include existing revenue generating accounts that have expansion opportunities, developmental OEMs and end users.

Primary Responsiblities:

• Delivery of technical presentations and demonstrations for the target accounts focusing on the value proposition.
• Technical support of application engineering, product specialists, product marketing, pre-sales support.
• Accompany ASE and distribution sales force to appointments at target accounts
• Serve as a contact point for the customer and the sales representatives during the implementation of defined project opportunities
• Support of business development activities and program execution within the assigned territory.
• Coordination of education of account sales engineers (ASE's) on latest technologies, to maintain and enhance technical competence on automation products and solutions using divisional resources as required (App. Eng, Product Sp. Etc).
• Provide input back to the business unit with regards to customer requested enhancements / improvements to product offer.

Technical Competencies:

• 5-8 years of related work experience or equivalent in the field of industrial automation are required.
• Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills.
• Ability to utilize demo equipment at target accounts
• Technical ability to discuss viable solutions/network layouts, etc with target customers
Personal Performance Competencies
• Demonstrate customer focus by meeting and continuously exceeding customer expectations
• Teamwork and interpersonal savvy are critical for the position because of the various external and internal interfaces of the organization
• Handle pressure well and be able to prioritize under stress
