Job Description
• Performs needs assessments with business process owners to align reporting solutions with business initiatives.
• Documents business requirements for use in specific reporting projects and systems following a formal methodology working closely with technical staff to formulate reporting solutions to meet business requirements.
• Acts as interpreter and brings together business representatives and IS team during the development, testing, documentation and implementation phases of report development projects.
• Monitors results and collaborates with key project members and clients to ensure implemented reporting solutions achieve the intended business results.
• Leads the effort in prioritizing report development.
• Shares the lead with business process owner(s) in the successful implementation of report development projects and subsequent rollout.
• Acts as primary point of contact for the report users with IS team providing production support.
• Develops validation steps and validation reports to ensure report accuracy.
• Investigates reported inaccuracies and identifies corrective measures
• Provides feedback for the enhancement of end user reporting documentation including FAQs, Tips and Tricks, etc. as needed.
• Provides support for ad hoc reporting development.
• Primary duties are to support report development and rollout to the business user community as well as identify potential future reporting requirements.
• Mentors junior members of the Reporting and Planning team on a regular basis.
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in business or finance. Some technical skills are required. Three to five years general business experience with one to three years report analysis skills. Must possess the business knowledge and skills to communicate with management and the general business community. Must have business process analysis and redesign skills. Project management and facilitation skills are encouraged. Must have extensive MS Excel skills.
