Project Description
• Plans, organizes and coordinates the implementation of the HSM McKesson Order Entry/Surgical Information Module.
• Coordinates the interactions between directors of the Nursing Department, Emergency room, Ancillary Services, Surgical Services and Physician Offices.
• Assesses business needs, recommends and implements a Order Entry system solution which meets the customer needs.
• Competent to work all phases of application systems analysis and project management activities.

Required Skills and Experience
• Nursing degree with hospital experience.
• McKesson HSM experience a must.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Order systems with knowledge of AS/400 and UNIX platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Health Information Systems as it pertains to clinical, revenue management and financial integration.
• Strong understanding of care plans, clinical decision support and medication administration records.
• At least 4 to 5 years of working experience with physicians, nurses, financial, revenue cycle and ancillary services managers as it pertains to the integration of order entry systems with the clinical areas of a hospital.
• Strong understanding of the importance of the Charge Master as it pertains to implementation of an order entry system.
• Strong knowledge of Nursing Documentation, Medication Dispensing Solutions (Pyxis, Omnicell), Clinical Interventions (ADE), Consults, Quality Assurance, Tumor Registry, and Surgical Services.
• Strong knowledge of nursing areas work flows in a hospital environment.
Must have 2-4 years of Order Entry Information Systems implementation experience.
