The Car Advisory Network is a VC-funded startup building the next internet platform in the auto industry. We are an extremely motivated and youthful group and we are looking for candidates who are interested in start ups with a team of experienced managers and a solid business plan.
Responsibilities
* Own the design and implementation of a scalable network of Linux servers for our high-traffic web site and associated systems.
* Perform systems installations, systems upgrades, and maintenance to LAMP (linux,apache,mysql,php).
* Monitor system stability and performance.
* Help develop tools to monitor and maintain systems (Nagios).
Requirements
* 3+ years of Linux, Apache systems administration.
* Experience administering production servers for a high-traffic website.
* Scripting ability in one or more of: php/perl/bash/python.
Desirable
* High Availability LAMP.
* php, our main implementation language.
* Experience with database replication (mysql)
* BS Computer Science or a related discipline.
