This position will be responsible for capably leading a mid-sized staff of environment artists, and working with external resources on aesthetic and technical issues.
• Continue to build durable, and reliable relationships with PD teams through established credibility and quality of work
• Capable of leading by example, is a good motivator of resources, and makes sufficient time to teach and mentor
• Consider time constraints when developing tasks, and plans solutions that fit into allotted time frames.
• Effectively distribute tasks amongst appropriate resources based on concisely developed production schedules
• Ensure that deliverables meet, or exceed the industry standard for artistic integrity, production values, and creativity
• Support and back up the Art Director where and when needed
Requirements:
• 5 or more years in the interactive software industry and 3 or more shipped titles
• Has an exceptionally gifted eye for helping to develop and work within an appropriate artistic style, general aesthetic value, and execution according to the overall Art Direction and project goals
• Has established prior individual production success as a Sub-Lead or Sr. Artist on at least one project
• Well rounded communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to and work with people at all levels within team and company environment
• Highly organized individual, uses time efficiently, and works smartly to accomplish well defined objectives
• Experience on open world or sandbox-style games a plus
Education Requirements
• AA/BFA preferred or a portfolio that demonstrates an industry standard level of art. (High school diploma or GED required.)
