We are looking for a design engineer skilled in the design and development of RF and microwave circuitry from 1 GHz - 26 GHz range for a client in the north Philadelphia area.
Title: RF Design Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA (north Philly area... easy commute of S. NJ, west to Exton and North to Allentown)
Compensation: We are targeting a base salary of $110-130,000. Excellent benefits. Relocation assistance is offered.
General: Work closely with customers to develop applications. Assist in setting up production to handle RF, microwave technology. You will design and development of RF, microwave based products including circuit simulation, test measurement, tolerance analysis, and the generation of associated documentation. Provide appropriate input relative to the development of test procedures, fixtures and software. Generate optimal design approaches in the areas of low-noise amplifiers, oscillators, frequency converters, filters, PLL's, and their construction methods. Makeuse of available design and simulation software for the timely and successful completion of all design activity. Contribute as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure that new products meet the specifications and performance requirements from a functional as well as regulatory standpoint.
Required Skills: BSEE with 5+ years in the design and development of RF, microwave amplifiers and matching circuits with frequencies of 6 Ghz-26 Ghz. Knowledge
of amplifiers (class A,B,AB,C), oscillators, filters, couplers, and modulators. Output approaches (i.e. FMCW, pulsed, 2 tone, multi carrier modulation, etc.) and testing methods using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. Capable of using measurement techniques including characterization of gain, efficiency, IMD, ACP, return loss and ruggedness as well as modern RF/microwave linear/non-linear simulation tools.
Pluses: PhD/MSEE. Antenna design and analysis.
