Demand Media is seeking inventive, ambitious Quality Assurance go-getters fascinated by developing new media evolution who want to work in a fun environment with an energetic team.

This 3-month contract position is located in downtown Austin, TX.

Qualifications:
* 3-5 yrs of directly applicable experience in software quality assurance and/or software development
* Strong user level experience on web applications
* 4+yrs of executing test cases in a technical discipline
* 2+ yrs of developing test cases in a technical discipline
* Advanced knowledge of QA methodology

Responsibilities:
* Perform advanced testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed features meet design specifications
* Conduct requirement analysis for completeness and testability
* Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
* Execute best possible coverage tests
* Capture test data and metrics
* Communicate test status
* Record defects in bug tracking software, including documentation of information useful in the debugging process
* Perform additional tasks assigned by manager
