SOA Enterprise Architect
10 Months contract in Plano, TX
Key Responsibilities:
Implement a Service Identification strategy to help business analyst and architects identify candidates for services.
Identify & document SOA architecture/design best practices for integration for complex, cross-functional systems. Provide SOA development guideline to deliver high quality solutions.
Craft the vision & strategy on SOA journey at PepsiCo with standards and guidelines.
Understand the SAP ESR taxonomy and service lifecycle o Complete a thorough analysis of the implemented PepsiCo Systinet taxonomy and service lifecycle and provide a recommendation for how to align the SAP ESR with Systinet.
Document a high level design for a federated registry and repository process across these tools.
Complete a prototype of the high level design
Build a strategy for the SOA Security Roadmap and how it ties into PepsiCo existing policies and infrastructure. This includes,
Identifying service security policies to be enforced by services and setting guidelines for usage of those policies
Building a strategy for a central repository to manage service ids and passwords, manage X.5.09 certificates, and SAML Tokens for services
Implementation of a security intermediary to abstract security from the service implementation
Provide guidance on use of WS-* specification and best practices for usage
Evaluate service implementation platforms and document a decision tree providing guidance on when to use which platforms for service implementations
Up to 30% travel required (as needed).
Skills Qualifications (experience required):
Proficiency in SOA Business process modeling tools and processes
Good knowledge and understanding of multiple technological fields of specialization (SAP, TIBCO, AB Initio, Java/J2EE based apps)
Strategy and working knowledge of the following technology (Systinet Registry and Repository, SAP Enterprise Services Repository, Sun One Directory (LDAP), CA SiteMinder, TIBCO, Ab Initio, WebLogic)
Strong technical architecture expertise and exposure to Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Web Services, BPM and workflow solutions
Strong understanding of SOA principles and implementation approaches. Knowledge and past use of UDDI registries (preferably SAP, Systinet) and web services Hands on experience in various platforms Windows, HP, AIX, Linux & Databases.
Experience with data transformation and data movement using TIBCO/Legacy/SAP
SAP integration skill is a bonus
Development Life Cycle and Testing methodologies
Proven ability to influence peers, cross-functional partners, and management
Excellent written and oral communication and meeting facilitation skills
Must be proactive, self-initiating and collaborate closely with customer/divisional teams.
Basic Project management experience.
MUST HAVE SOA IMPLEMENTATION EXPERIENCE.
