Position Summary:
We are looking for a number of sharp, self-motivated individuals interested in helping us manage, improve, and support the technology in our various business units. The ideal candidates would enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, would be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and would have excellent analytical and communication skills. Each individual would be placed with one of our teams and get constant exposure to our critical tools and technologies.
Responsibilities would include:
• Investigating software problems to narrow down their possible causes
• Working with users and technology staff to identify areas for improvement
• Responding to requests and inquiries from users
• Conducting regular system maintenance
• Improving documentation of our systems
• Creating and implementing workflows
• Testing of applications
• Participating in special projects and development work at manager's discretion
Position Requirements:
• BS/BA Degree, preferably in Computer Science
• Computer literacy; comfort with Windows, Excel, Outlook, some SQL, and some VBA
• Scripting experience (with languages such as Powershell, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.)
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests
• Thoroughness and attention to detail
• Desire to improve systems and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service oriented attitude
• Works well in a dynamic environment
Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
• Programming languages: C++, C#, VB, or Java
• Good understanding of SQL
