Cooking.com is reinventing itself, and we're looking to fill a key strategic position on our product development team. The Information Architect at Cooking.com will be much more than a creator of wireframes, sitemaps and UI. The Information Architect will help set company-wide strategies and standards and will own major projects from planning to sitemaps, wireframes, process flows and functional specifications down to the smallest detail. In addition, the Information Architect will work across Cooking.com properties, including FoodNetworkStore.com, StarbuckStore.com and more.

Duties:
Contribute to and understand business objectives and requirements as well as user and production needs and translate them into interface and functional solutions. Advocate for end user while maximizing business objectives.

Analyze user data to identify target users/segments/personas and to improve usability, conversion and other business goals.
Be a leader in setting and adhering to project calendars, scope and phasing.
Propose innovative concepts in keeping with project scope and strategic positioning.
Develop IA solutions, including cross-site standards, navigation solutions and data taxonomies as well as production tool needs and interfaces.
Communicate and coordinate IA solutions with technical and non-technical participants
Author and own IA / UE deliverables, including site maps, wireframes/schematics, process flows, extremely detailed functional specifications, business rules and more.
Be a self-driven project manager, sometimes for concurrent initiatives.
When possible or desirable, lead user validation and/or usability testing sessions, evaluate results and present actionable recommendations
Participate in or lead QA efforts, as needed
Special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years' experience developing detailed information architecture, functionality and user-related strategies, documents and business rules for large-scale, software-intensive, b-to-c Web sites/projects
- Hands-on participation in e-commerce, social network or mass entertainment interfaces, software or content documentation/specification/development projects
- Experience with data-intense, database-driven sites
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
- Experience performing user experience study activities such as traffic/path analysis preferred
- Experience carding/paper prototyping, concept testing, usability testing, etc. preferred
- Experience as the lead IA on at least one project strongly preferred
- Love of and experience with cooking or cookware strongly preferred
