Job Details
Infrastructure Engineer-Maximo: Perform system installation, upgrade, configuration, troubleshooting services at IBM customer sites. Conduct infrastructure workshops. Weekly overnight travel in the US & Canada (approx. 90%) is required. Work closely w/Manager of Infrastructure Services & IBM Business Solutions & PMs in order to execute billable assignments & provide detailed follow-up. Provide support assistance to fellow IBM Consultants, Sales Staff & Customer Support depts regarding Maximo Systems & Network related issues. Knowledge of Network Appliance (IP Load Balancing) technology, Windows Active Directory, Mercury Interactive LoadRunner or WinRunner, Actuate Report Server Administration, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Metaframe & thin client technology.
3+ yrs exp in a system admin, consulting or support position. Must be a self-starter w/strong customer focus. Must be able to work independently w/minimal supervision & communicate effectively w/IT Admin & DBA personnel at IBM customer sites. Must be able to document & report technical information clearly & concisely. Understanding of networking, especially TCP/IP. Knowledge of Internet & Firewall technologies.
Required
- At least 1 year experience in IBM AIX or HP-UX Unix platforms
- Readiness to travel Up to 75%; traveling 5 days a week, home on weekends
- English: Fluent

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
