Client has a need for a Portal Architect who specializes in Microsoft Sharepoint. The person chosen will be tasked with creating an overall portal strategy and implementing it for targeted areas of the business on the Sharepoint platform. The successful candidate will be self-directed and capable of providing strategic and technical leadership in delivering portal solutions to the business systems space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Interview business clients to gather requirements.
2) Design, present and implement a portal strategy that will meet current and future needs.
3) Design and implement security and personalization strategies.
4) Document best practices for use of the portal solution(s).
Qualifications:
1) *MUST have proven experience* developing portal strategies for the MS Sharepoint platform. This includes site hierarchy, page design, security, personalization and customization.
2) Expert business analyst with experience as a facilitator, strategist and designer.
3) Expert MS Sharepoint technical experience.
4) Oracle, MS SQL Server, Cognos, Sharepoint Designer and .NET experience are pluses
5) Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
