Reporting to the Manager, Network Services, the Systems Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring the security and continuity of the Threshold Network and related systems and databases. This involves conducting risk assessments, security assessments, and security audits using a variety of approved methodologies, standards and best practices. Performance monitoring, capacity planning, system testing, change management, backup planning, disaster planning and testing, and process documentation are key requirements. This position is also responsible for out-of-hours support for these systems to ensure minimal down-time in the event of the system (or any part of it) failing.

•Threat and risk assessments
•Information Systems security audits and reviews
•System, application, database design and review
•Security change implementations
•Information Systems security policy and procedures development
•IT security awareness/training program
•Business continuity/disaster recovery planning/testing
•After hours systems support
•PCI DSS program monitoring and adherence
•Other duties as assigned
Education
Post Secondary Education
IT related degree / diploma
Experience
Minimum of 5 years related experience
Solid background in information security including network protection and
countermeasures
(e.g. IDS, Penetration Testing) along with experience in computing and networking
infrastructures
Experience understanding and adhering to security industry practices and standards,
specifically PCI DSS, ISO 17799 and other leading standards (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ITIL)
Business continuity/disaster recovery planning
ATM systems equipment experience an asset
