This person will be a member of the Investment Management Systems Group (IM Systems) within Investment Management. The Senior Business Analyst works either independently or with other team members to successfully complete projects that provide analysis and solutions to business problems and needs. As a subject matter expert in field of focus, the individual functions as a key contributor through reviewing project plans, participating in all aspects of product delivery, and coordinating with key internal BBH relationships to provide analysis and support and ensure that all affected areas are represented in each project and are in agreement with the final requirements
Primary functions:
Create usable, accurate, business specifications for the Systems teams to use during development and implementation of various projects, good technical writing
Manage the life cycle of a project, including project scoping, planning, requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation
Provide Solutions with alternatives
Participate in vendor evaluations
Provide support for Front and Back Office applications (Accounting, Trading, Account Reviews, KYC)
Additional functions include, but are not limited to:
Ad hoc report development, Participate in non-accounting system projects
Experience/Knowledge required:
Financial Investment Industry Related background;
Minimum 3-5 years of investment management experience
Experience with Portfolio accounting systems related projects
In-depth understanding of: Investment/portfolio management and proven experience, Multicurrency securities, Equities, Fixed Income, Inflation Indexed Securities of particular importance, Portfolio accounting and related back office processing
Lifecycle of a trade, Lifecycle of an account, Security setup, Account setup, Reconciliation
General Technical
Solid understanding of relational databases and their design, application, etc.
Basic proficiency in:
SQL or other database query language report writer experience such as Brio, Crystal Reports, Pace Reporting, or standard Microsoft desktop applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word
Project planning tools
Experience creating project documentation: Scope, Requirements, Plans, Mapping
System familiarity preferred; actual experience considered a plus

SunGard Charlotte Trust Accounting
Charles River Development Trading and Compliance System
Eagle PACE hub/warehouse
IBM Websphere Portal
Hyperion Brio query and report creation tools
PHP and MySQL
Project management software (Niku Clarity preferable)
Education
Minimum: undergraduate degree plus 3 - 5 years work experience; business, finance, or systems analysis preferred
