1. Senior LAN engineer and supervisor of server rooms
2. Responsible for server installation/configuration including operating system, databases and e-mail system
3. Interface with users to identify computer related solutions.
4. Responsible for overseeing backup procedures are followed.
5. Responsible for rolling out firm computer initiatives
6. Responsible for application integration with network
7. Responsible for LAN/WAN integration configuration
8. Responsible for WAN management
9. Ensures disaster recovery plan is followed and provides on-site recovery when necessary
10. Advises director on initiatives, issues, server installation status and problems
11. Trains network support staff
12. Monitors network for potential problems
13. Provides input on all technological decisions including hardware, applications, upgrades, platforms, integration and networking communications
14. Troubleshoots network problems, gets technical support and documentation when necessary
15. Decides on network application maintenance schedule
16. Helps field user support calls
17. Any other duties as requested by the Director of MIS
