Business Resource Solutions, LLC is a shared services organization representing Glacier Technologies, LLC for all Human Resource and recruiting activities. Glacier Technologies, LLC is currently seeking candidates for the following opening: Sr. Applications Architecture Support Specialist.
Candidate will provide senior level application architect design support to BAO (Business Applications Office)projects
Design Oracle databases and application servers utilizing technologies such as XML, J2EE and/or .NET and strategies such as Service Oriented Architecture and Rapid Development. Current projects include the S&PF Redesign, EmPower, PayCheck, WebDET, LSGP, LSTP, IBESS, IBS, I-WEB, NRIS, ALP, FamWeb, InciWeb, WebCAD, and FIA.
Review application requests and rationalize applications needs against the current Forest Service infrastructure and application landscape. Complete applications architecture support to the current list of open Service Requests.
Design Data and Security models.
Complete architecture systems analysis and design for the migration of existing FS applications to the Kansas City data center.
Complete the BAO support to the ongoing Integrated Business Environment development teams.
Write project architecture documents, including models and data flow diagrams.
Coordinate all phases of the Software Design Life cycle process.
Provide estimates to BAO staff on technical tasks and efforts required to implement applications.
Provide technical advice to BAO staff on evolving enterprise architecture standards and directions.
Prepare application architect documentation and reports, briefing materials to inform, educate and influence various levels of management and employees to support technology goals and initiatives.
Write functional and technical applications specifications and other project documentation.
Analyze/prepare change orders for applications.
Assist with audits and policy changes as they effect the agency.
Participate as a member of the application training cadre for FS and other agencies.
Support the BAO staff in application data validation.
Provide advice for e-gov initiatives, OMB Exhibit 300, and Work Lenz.
Assist in the review and documentation of business rules related to application management.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or any related field.
7-10 years experience
