Purpose:
Architect in this position is expected to provide technical & functional recommendations to project teams by presenting strategic design, development, integration & implementation of SAP Business Intelligence solutions, including MAP - Merchandise and Assortment Planning -with the ability to implement said recommendations.
Interfacing with business leaders, you will assume a creative leadership role to drive strategic initiatives, programs, and projects while displaying good technical and group leadership skills.
Broad technical competence in the performance of routine day-to-day job functions along with industry knowledge of SAP R/3, ECC 6.0, SAP BI 7.0 & Netweaver 2004s technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Analysis, architecture, design, programming, testing and support of SAP BI solutions
* Provide technical & functional direction in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance & enhancement of SAP BI projects
* Strong knowledge in the creation, design & maintenance of cubes, InfoSets, extractors, interfaces, Multi-Providers, etc.
* Develop, implement and document processes and standards in regard to SAP BI
* Advise on best practices for BI deployments
* Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the entire SAP BI product line
* Strong skills in SAP Business Planning & Simulation (BW-BPS)
* Strong skills in SAP MAP (Merchandise and Assortment Planning)
* Develop close relationships with executives and managers in Development, Systems, IT and business departments
* Deliver standard and customized SAP BI technical training
* Provide knowledge transfer to internal SAP BI Team
* Expected to be proactive in addressing problems and in advancing solutions
Desired Experience and Skills:

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
* At least 5 years experience in SAP BI
* At least 3 years experience in at least 2 full life cycles as an SAP BI Architect
* At least 2 years experience in Technical Leadership
* At least 3 years experience in SAP BI Architecture/Solution design
* Industry Experience (E-Commerce / Retail) is desirable
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
* Fluent in English
* Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to develop technical documentation for training and user procedures
* Maintain an awareness of and utilize state-of-the-art best practices
