Our client seeks an experienced Voice Network Engineer with networking, telecommunications and VoIP.
The Voice Network Engineer is responsible for customer deployments; implementing our carrier VoIP telephony infrastructure. The Voice Network Engineer administers and maintains our carrier VoIP platform across multiple vendor equipment including hardware and software. The Voice Network Engineer provides support for customer issues and coordinates with third party vendors, including telecom interconnection partners to ensure prompt and professional resolution.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and a minimum of 3 years related VoIP work experience. CCNA certification and a working knowledge of SIP, MGCP, QoS, IMS TDM delivery technologies coupled with advanced voice network troubleshooting in carrier VoIP deployment scenarios are required. Experience with Sylantro Synergy Feature Servers, Acme Packet Session Border Controllers, Convedia Media Servers, Iperia Unified Messaging Systems, Cisco routers/switches and the Linux OS are strongly preferred.
Additionally, the successful candidate must possess a passion for customer service and enjoy working with customers. Candidates must have strong analytical and problem solving abilities and the ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision (take initiative.) Must be flexible in order to support a 24/7 operation and must be willing to travel regularly throughout our service area.
