We are looking for a solid linux systems administrator who also has experience with JBoss for a client in Boston.
Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Boston, MASS (inside the 128)
Compensation: Base salary is open, but we are targeting $70-90,000 depending
on skill and experience level. Stock incentives and benefits. Relocation
assistance is NOT offered.
General: Setup, configure and maintain a stable JBOSS, Apache, Linux infrastructure and deliver the support services necessary to support the business and application needs. Work closely with the applications
development staff to manage the various components of the environment. Research new technologies to improve existing environments and be proactive in problem mitigation.
Required Skills:
3+ years progressive experience in IT with solid skills in Linux Systems Administration and JBoss end-to-end full administration. Knowledge of customer facing data center operations, networking, security, etc... Some after hour - weekend support will be involved.
Pluses: Red Hat Enterprise distribution. Hands-on experience with relational databases and coding in Java and knowledge of JDBC, EJB, JSP
