Position Overview:
As an agile QA developer, you would be responsible for test strategies, risk assessment, planning, design and execution of automated and manual test cases. Our test professionals are peers to our developers. Working closely with product management and development, you will drive to completion the feature set being tested and the critical elements to determine application stability and functionality. The position will deliver test approaches and reviews in support of organizational quality metrics and critical deliverables, including the automation framework and tests.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of designing and implementing automated tests in Java, employing robust ad hoc test skills, successfully completing complex test assignments, demonstrating superior technical skills, and the ability and commitment to deliver as deadlines approach.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Create and organize test designs, test cases, and matrices for full area coverage and product delivery
• Design, implement and run automated tests early in the development phase and provide tight feedback on feature design and functionality to development and product management.
• Communicate test requirements to Product Management and Development by reviewing project requirements and user stories for testability
• Be driving force for acceptance Test Driven Development using Fit framework
• Responsible for working with other members of a development team to ensure that quality is "built in" from the ground up in products.
• Setup and maintain test environment
• Develop and maintain automate test scripts

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 -- 5 years experience in a QA environment
• Minimum 2 years of Java development experience
• Good knowledge of leading QA tools and methodologies
• At least 1 year of experience working on an agile software team is preferred (preferably using Scrum framework).
• Experience planning, implementing test strategies
• Experience with defining and managing UAT processes
• Experience with the definition and implementation of automated testing framework and process
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer science degree or equivalent experience required
• Good understanding of web application and applicable testing techniques
• Experience working with Continuous Integration practices.

Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of one of popular Java application servers (Tomcat, Web Logic, Web Sphere)
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle)
• Experience in both Windows and Unix environments
• Experience with developing web based Java applications
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, XML, LDAP, Servlets, Unix/Linux shell scripts would be an advantage.
