Position Description:
Our client, a highly visible software company, seeks an experienced UX Program Manager/Designer to help design a world-class user experience for a complex IT product. A key theme for upcoming releases is significant innovation in User Experience. The product you will work on delivers enterprise-class operations management by providing comprehensive event management, proactive monitoring and alerting, reporting, and trend analysis. This is an opportunity to make a big impact on existing design and guide a product in a new, exciting direction!
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with all areas of the UX discipline -- design strategy, design research, interaction design, and information architecture. S/he will be very hands-on and deeply immersed in all aspects of this discipline, including the non-technical aspects that require a graceful and effective means of working with various individuals (Project Managers, Researchers, Designers), all working toward the same goal.
To help with this initiative, we're looking for an
Responsibilities:
· Create innovative designs and modify existing designs using UX guidelines, and usability and focus group findings
· Produce wireframes, mockups, HTML/CSS prototypes, PPTs
· Prepare screens for and participate in usability studies
· Work closely with feature PMs, Usability Researchers, and UX designers
Qualifications:
· Ability to rapidly create and iterate design flows, mockups, wireframes, prototypes
· Work independently to understand requirements and scenarios and be an advocate for great customer experiences
· Familiarity with iterative design process and user-centered design principles
· Operations/IT Management experience (this could be a “Nice to have” for the right candidate)
· Strong Adobe CS skills especially Fireworks
· Experience designing with Winforms
· Self-starter Excellent communication skills.
Nice to haves:
· Technologies:
o WPF (specifically XAML layout, controls, and storyboards)
o Silverlight (specifically rich non-media client side experiences)
· Tools:
o Expression Blend (specifically creating traditional image based mockups and next gen canvas mockups)
o Expression Design (specifically designing dynamic UI mockups, controls, and UI
