UX/Interface Designer
If you are a swift and sharp designer with that special mix of UX/interaction and visual design skills, we have an opportunity that may just float your boat! Our client, a leading software company, requires the design of a validation product that ensures that its globally-known software application is not pirated. You will be responsible for about 60% UX/interaction design and 40% visual design and have a natural knack for making user flow “quick and effortless.”
Summary: This contract position will include prototyping and improving application features and user interface; improving the look and feel of certain web experiences and marketing; landing pages; designing posters; storyboarding user experience, screen-by-screen; assisting the user research team with “what-if” and “A-B testing”; and mock-ups.
Requirements: You should be familiar with rapid design techniques and should be comfortable with “over the shoulder collaboration.” You are an ace with Photoshop and Illustrator and have strong knowledge of Flash; you have an understanding of UI/UX design and have some experience with it professionally; mid to expert level Actionscript; some hand-drawing/sketching abilities; at least medium web and print experience; and a strong foundation in HCI (you will need to know 10 Jacob Nielsen's HCI principles off the top of your head). Additional qualifications (not required, but would be favored) include prior experience designing brand assets; demonstrated experience with storyboarding; and mild program management skills.
