Position: UX/Interface Designer and Project Management
Our client, a software giant, is looking for an exceptional UX designer with a real flair for vibrant visual skills to help design a major consumer facing product. Experience with design of small devices is a must. Experience designing for phones, specifically is an added plus. If you are wild about mobile technology and dedicated to interface design that doesn't believe in being second best, then destiny is calling!
Summary: Design the “look and feel” of interfaces; create Flash prototypes; oversee production artists, designers, vendors and/or contractors; manage schedules and design resources. Create workable demos in Flash for usability studies; create PowerPoint presentations, intranet sites, etc. Note: Design is 60% of this job and the rest is internal communication with the team including guiding others.
Requirements: Fierce design skills! You are wild with typography, bold with color, and generally design in the fast lane - you run your competition over and keep on going. The zany, twisty, colorful energy of your work gets “oohs” and “ahhs” from your friends and colleagues. It reminds them of all the cool design they see all the time for mobile products, yet you still somehow always bring something unique to the work. Unlike the typical artist “stereotype”, you are just as comfortable and happy interacting with others and being a leader as you are pulling amazing ideas out of your head and sharing them with the world. 3-5 years experience is preferred.
Technical Skills: Photoshop and/or Illustrator; Flash; Actionscript and HTML preferred.
Location: This contract assignment must be performed on-site in Redmond, WA.
