Web Designer assists in the development, operation, support, research, trial implementations, and evaluation of the Intranet and Internet interactive technologies for LSCC's website reflective of LSCC's Technology Goals/Plan. This is an entry level position, so growth is expected with increased competency in these skill areas.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT: Experience in Web site development. Demonstrated knowledge of application development in, but not limited to, Java, Visual Basic and its interface to HTML, PHP and Active X. Computer software installation and minor programming, HTML, Java, Visual Basic, PHP, Active X, and other computer application knowledge/skills in support of Web design and development. General office skills, application development in, but not limited to, Java, Visual Basic and its interface to HTML and Active X. Ability to test and debug web problems. Ability to review and analyze system specs/requirements. Ability to communicate with users, clients in identifying their web needs. This position requires the employee to own and use a personal communication device (cell phone) for successful job performance. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
