Java/J2EE Technical Lead
6 Month contracts with greater possibility of turning long term
Job Description :
A Technical Lead position for the CRO Reservations Development group responsible for the development of applications used by call center agents to service customers in their reservation needs. The Technical Lead will help lead the development team in project estimates, application design, coordinating project tasks between developers and across groups, perform code reviews and provide ongoing support and analysis of applications.
Responsibilities :
Work with business units on requirements clarification and analysis.
Provide development estimates for projects based on business requirements.
Develop and support new software applications and modules.
Provide technical design for new projects including incorporating with existing products and new applications.
Work closely with internal and external teams such as Architecture, QA, Infrastructure/Operations, and business process and training groups.
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance and feedback to development team.
Be proactive in troubleshooting and analyzing existing applications for defects and performance issues.
Skills :
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies.
Experience in design and development of Java applications with an eye for reusable components.
Experience configuring and administering J2EE application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, or Resin.
Strong proficiency in database design.
Experience with performance tuning of applications including Java profiling, memory profiling, data caching, database tuning, and browser performance analysis.
Experience in JSF, Spring IoC/MVC, Hibernate, Ehcache, JMS, JDBC, JMX, Ant, Maven, Web Services, XML, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Experience in JSF is a big plus.
Experience in content delivery networks such as Akamai is a big plus.
Think "out of the box" in solving problems and troubleshooting issues.
Comfortable in a highly dynamic environment.
