SpectorSoft, a worldwide leader in computer monitoring software tools for Windows, is looking for dynamic and talented professionals to join its research and development team in sunny coastal town of Vero Beach, Florida. Ability to think outside the box, and work in coordination with other experienced professionals is a must. As a database developer/database architect, this individual will work on SpectorSoft's business products to develop and manage complex and sophisticated database platforms built using relational database technologies (SQL Server 2000/2005). This position will assist in the full lifecycle (SDLC) application development, database design, database development, and maintenance / enhancements. You will actively participate in design discussions, contribute in decision making, and provide third level support when necessary (we have full time technical support teams). You must have excellent communication skills, ability to work in team environment, and be able to keep pace with the fast changing world of technology. This Developer/Engineer will work closely with other team members to design and implement the detailed requirements of the business products (Spector 360) as well as support the ongoing issues with the released product.
Skills
5 years of Database Programming experience with SQL Server 2000 / 2005
Sound understanding of SQL Server internals, architecture, and RDBMS concepts
Knowledge of database design and normalization
Strong skills in writing efficient T-SQL code (Queries and Stored Procedures)
Dynamic SQL
Views, Stored Procedures, Functions
Cross database queries (horizontal partitioning)
Security, Backup/Restore, UTF/Unicode concepts
Experience with SQL Server 2005 migrations (code and data) a definite Plus
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Experience with commercial product development is a plus.
