Purpose: To effectively manage proposals of all sizes through the full proposal cycle, from the bid decision process through production and delivery for proposals. Responsible for ensuring that the solution is contained in the proposal documents and oral presentations in a creative, compelling, and compliant manner.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- 3-5 years of successful proposal development is preferred, but related experience and qualifications will be considered for exceptional candidates.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Able to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels, from subject matter experts to company executives - Able to translate RFPs into proposal requirements and technical features into customer benefits. Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate, with meticulous attention to detail. Process-oriented, committed to continual process fine-tuning and self-improvement.
Desired: Government and/or Commercial Information Technology proposal writing experience.

Working Conditions: Work is performed at the corporate office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take end-to-end ownership and command of proposal development and related support processes, including down-select questions, written proposals, oral presentations, Best and Final Offers (BAFOs), Evaluation Notices (ENs), Final Proposal Revisions (FPR), etc.
• Analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to derive proposal structures and requirements
• Coordinating proposal activities across a broad range of personnel, including upper-management, business development, technical staff, graphic designers, other proposal staff, and subcontractors.
• Assisting/coach technical personnel in making proposal contributions.
• Understanding and communicating the benefits of technical matter to non-technical audiences
• Assessing personal performance, capturing lessons learned, and continuously refining processes
• Proactively develop, maintain, and continuously apply the Client proposal planning process for each proposal, to include outlines, storyboards, win themes, action items, etc.
• Write and synthesize proposal narrative in near-real time as required. Leverage existing archived proposal information.
• Develop targeted questions and interview technical and programmatic staff to extract the critical information necessary to develop technical and managerial solutions.
• Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management, as appropriate.
• Remain current on all amendments and modifications to the solicitation.
• Lead and proactively participate in the development of oral presentation slide concepts and scripting.
• Be proactive in the conceptualization and development of strategic win themes and discriminators.
• Define and manage the proposal response schedule in conjunction with the Capture Managers.
• Perform quality checks for all proposal sections and volumes.
• Responsible for accuracy and quality.
