Position: ClearCase Software Configuration Management and Build Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Travel Requirements: up to 25%
Type of work: Contract
Project duration: Approximately 6 months
Duties / Responsibilities:
The CM and Build Engineer assumes a hands-on role in defining the configuration management (CM) strategy and CM plan to maintain all software development artifacts. The individual will work with developers, architects, business analysts, project managers and QA resources to analyze configuration management requirements in order to design and implement the appropriate CM and build solutions. This individual must have "hands-on" experience implementing multiple CM tools, build and deployment solutions, and various code promotional models that best fit a project's specific technology such as Java, .NET, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Application Servers and COTS.
Qualifications Required (at least 8 years, unless otherwise specified):
· Development of CM plan, process and procedures to ensure proper CM throughout the project's life cycle.
· Implementation of CM solutions to maintain software baselines for all software artifacts.
. Implementation of CM solutions to support parallel releases and multi-site development.
· Must have hands-on administration, configuration and implementation of ClearCase.
· Experience with other CM tools such as Subversion, CVS and PVCS.
· Development of procedures and tools to perform CM audits against different software deployments to ensure implemented baselines match as-built baselines.
· Well versed build and deployment scripting using tools such as ANT, etc.
· CM solutions for Java, .NET, Oracle, MS SQL Server, XML, COTS, etc.
· CM solutions for agile, extreme programming and iterative software development processes.
. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
. Ability to travel 25%.
