Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required and have been granted SCI eligibility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A successful candidate will be in charge of overseeing the intrusion detection capabilities of multiple networks. This engineer will have the opportunity to recommend and implement technology to achieve the technical goals of information assurance, as well as the authority to design command-wide auditing policy as the threat to information systems evolves.
This engineer will be a key member of a larger team of information security professionals, allowing for support and mentorship from senior members if necessary, in addition to ensuring that tasking is well-defined and the means for accomplishing any assigned task are available.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess 2 years related experience.
A BS degree is preferred.
Experience in host and network based intrusion detection in a primarily-Micrsoft environment.
Vulnerability assessment experience is desired, but not required.
Familiarity with DOD STIG documentation and NSA configuration guides
