About Us:
ANI Networks is seeking Monitoring Analysts. All hours are either evenings and nights during Monday thru Friday or are during the day, evening and night hours on Sunday through Saturday. Schedules are negotiable and subject to change. The incumbent is required to work on-site at ANI's Network Operations Center in El Segundo, CA. Training hours shall be between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday thru Thursday during the first two weeks of employment. The position reports to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering.
Monitoring Analyst
Responsibilities:
The primary function of the NOC Analyst is to observe network monitoring tools and respond to network incidents by opening tickets and escalating to engineers. Other duties include preparing reports, tracking status of open incidents, providing incident status information to management or engineers upon request, and some basic system administration of Windows, Unix, and Linux computers, Alcatel, NACT and Sonus voice switches, Cisco and various assorted monitoring systems. This is an entry-level position and on-the-job training is provided. Some basic computer skills are desired, including one or more of the following:
• Windows
• Linux
• Unix
• Word processing
• Spreadsheets
• Databases
Requirements:
• Plus must have basic AC & DC electrical theory
• Detail-oriented and Task-driven
• Able to follow standard operating procedures
• Able to read and speak English at a seventh-grade level (HS diploma, GED)
• Professional telephone demeanor
• Works effectively and calmly under pressure
• Productive without supervision
Optional Skills or Exposure:
• TCP/IP networking
• Linux (Redhat, Fedora, Centos, SuSe), Sun Solaris versions 9 & 10, Windows 2000 & XP
• Telecommunications (PBX administration, T1, T3, PRI, Sonus, Alcatel, Nortel Meridian)
• Perl, shell scripts, Microsoft Visual Basic, C#, ASP, SQL
