The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of IT and Communications, as well as the ability to grow and lead groups of individuals and manage vendor relations. This individual will need to be hands on as well as conceptual, but have the capacity to grow into the role of Director of IT. This is a relatively smaller environment, described as more of a "start up", so we're looking for someone who is willing and able and patient enough to deal with people (doctors), but who has the sense of urgency to get things done.
CUA will be looking for this individual to re-evaluate and re-do everything that is in place. This includes but is not limited to: LAN/WAN, Email, SAN solutions, Backup Solutions, Security Solutions, Phones (Avaya VOIP), Networked Printers.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone to build an IT organization from the ground up within a recession proof organization. CUA is a tight knit, laid back organization that has the feel of a start up company. It has 300 employees spread out over 20 offices in Central Maryland.
