I'm looking for a solid C++ on Unix/Linux developer interested in translating their core multi-threaded application development expertise into a Trading environment for a small but niche group responsible for creating the next generation of application suites used by Traders.
The group are responsible for creating the core engine which integrates across multiple equities and futures trading desks and which ends up assisting traders in executing trades from multi-strategy and multi-time frame cycles.
Successful candidates will thus be individuals who understand the value C++ code has in real-world environments and also deliver under rapid application development environments. You will be surrounded by traders (of which some are former developers) who have a high expectation on your ability to turn code into immediate workable solutions.
The team exclusively use C++ on Unix platforms and thus you should demonstrate strong aptitude in this space (kernel level, socket programming, TCP/IP etc). but candidates from Windows environments may be considered if they have worked on real-time systems development.
Finance/Trading exposure is not required and in fact having no pre-conceived ideas about how to create robust trading tools and systems is an added advantage for developers who have had an early passion for coding in their career.
