4+ yrs UNIX/Linux, Windows & z/OS programming exp; analysis, management, shell scripting & SDLC a must. ReXX exp strongly preferred.
SUMMARY:
The Lead Programmer/Analyst analyzes, designs, programs, tests, and implements requirements for automation processes integrating complex and technically diverse administrative production application processes. He/she develops interfaces to enhance vendor-provided application functionality and helps others with implementations as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Uses Open Systems and mainframe-based programming languages to analyze, design, specify, and program production processes
* Acts as project team lead and tech support for daily automated production operations
* Stays current on fixes/developments in ESP Workload Manager and agents to keep automation framework stable and up-to-date
* Assigns project-related tasks and monitors progress
* Assumes group leadership responsibility whenever dept. director is out of the office
* Must carry pager (or cell phone) and be on call to fix problems in critical business processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 4+ yrs UNIX/Linux, Windows & z/OS TSO/ISPF programming exp
* Significant managerial exp leading team of analyst/programmers or acting as lead on complex projects
* Detailed knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and Windows command scripts
* Willingness and capacity to move into new operating environments
* Ability to perform all levels of SDLC
* Ability to learn other languages in Open Systems environment
* Excellent business analysis, design, and structured programming skills
* Knowledge of ReXX 4 is preferred.
