Major financial firm is seeking a full time SharePoint 2007 Web Designer/Developer to lead development of both Intranet and Extranet Portals. Responsibilities include design & development of portal web applications based on the SharePoint 2007 platform. This position requires gathering user requirements and rapidly developing SharePoint based solutions that include custom, professional quality user interfaces. Proven experience developing custom, professional quality user interfaces for SharePoint solutions is a must!
Requirement:
* Developing and maintaining a SharePoint 2007 portal.
* Develop and support business functions including assisting with training content development.
* Designing portal components (Web Parts)
* Customizing, integrating with third party solutions, and implementing an Enterprise SharePoint solution.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues
Experience:
At least five years related experience with web design and development experience.
Recent experience within SharePoint 2007 using SharePoint Designer and SQL Server 2005, one or more published websites that we can view would be a distinct bonus.
Should be familiar and competent with graphical applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and/or the Microsoft Expressions range of products.
Familiarity with AJAX, JavaScript, Flash and/or Silverlight would be a bonus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Occasional international business travel may be required.
The successful candidate can be based in either midtown Manhattan or Purchase, NY by mutual agreement though some travel between the two locations will be expected particularly in the first few months of the job
