The firm is a rapidly growing electronic marketplace for large block institutional equities trading. They are seeking a bright, enthusiastic Software Engineer with programming experience in a Linux environment to work in our trading server development group. The candidate will participate in all aspects of the development life cycle, from application design through unit testing/QA training.
Primary Requirements:
• C++ development (3 to 7 years)
• Programming experience on UNIX/Linux platform.
• Experience designing and implementing socket serving applications.
• Database experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Passionate about performance, scalability, and high-availability.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, design and implementation.
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting project deadlines.
The following skills are a plus:
• Experience using version control software, e.g. CVS.
• Working knowledge of the FIX protocol.
• Some Perl scripting experience.
