Embedded Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and test software as part of embedded development team
• Participate and contribute to design/architecture discussions
Requirements:
• BS in EE/CS, MS strongly desired
• At least 5+ years of experience with real time embedded software development including documenting requirements, design, implementation and testing
• Strong working knowledge of C, C++ programming in RTOS and RTOS-less environments, embedded Linux experience desired
• Understand hardware/software interaction including knowledge of board bring up and device driver implementation
• Experience with development tools - simulation, debug, and bus analyzers
• Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Knowledge of H8 based microcontrollers and ARM7 processors
• Experience with fault isolation and event based alarms in a server managed environment is highly desirable
• Experience with remote software download mechanisms and autonomous failure detection/recovery is highly desirable
