This position is for a Networking Management Software Engineer at our Menlo Park, California location. As a Software engineer the position is to develop networking software including device drivers, networking switching management software, configuration utilities, and testing/verification. This includes development under both Solaris and Linux operating systems.

Strong background in L2/L3 routing, SNMP, and network management. 'C' programming experience and Solaris internal knowledge required. Embedded software development experience desired.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Solaris device driver development, networking, network switch related software, Solaris internals and systems programming, and TCP-IP. Linux device driver development knowledge is highly desirable. Working knowledge in Perl and other scripting languages is a plus. Software build and configuration management knowledge is desirable.
