Our client, a venture-backed Internet start-up, is looking for a talented Web Designer to work alongside our product management and development teams. As an early team member, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to make significant impact in a fast-paced, start-up environment. This individual should be passionate about creating intuitive, innovative, and easy to use designs to facilitate a world class customer experience. Work areas include the creation and application of a consistent design style, prototype and proof-of-concept development, and website user interface.
Responsibilities
Drive visual and UI design for site projects
Prototype and design visual interfaces with CSS and XHTML
Evolve and maintain a comprehensive style and interaction guide
Produce visual assets for use with product development and marketing
Qualifications
3-5 years online design experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
Strong visual graphic design skills and solid understanding of web design principles
In-depth knowledge of the following applications: Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator
Flash and iconography skills a plus
Experience with web application design
Ability to work well in cross-functional and team oriented environment
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong CSS and XHTML skills preferred
Strong working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility preferred
Candidate should be located in the Philadelphia or Tri-State area.
