Our client, one of the large retail banks in NorthEast USA, is looking for a Peoplesoft Application Programmer. The details are as below:


Full-time
Location: Smithfield, RI

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree a plus.
Experience with PeopleSoft HCM (version 8) and PeopleTools required. Experience with version upgrades a plus.
Exposure to various reporting technologies such as Business Objects is highly desired.
Minimum of 4 years experience with relational database architecture and models. (Oracle or SQL Server preferred).
Experience using a structured systems development methodology required.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Must have strong communication skills and an ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities :
The HR Developer is responsible for supporting technologies used for HR business processes by coordinating implementations / upgrades, development and application optimization. The position also helps assess the technology needs of the HR organization by providing tactical and operational consulting support.

Support systems development items resulting from business line requests, application updates and functionality upgrades by performing all steps in the development life cycle. Provide technical support for application development, data conversions, vendor interfaces and internal data transfers.

They will work with Manufacturing (IT) group on HR for development and technical projects as well as assisting with the execution of activities necessary to ensure optimization of HR applications.

Support the development of comprehensive data models in conjunction with the HR Business Intelligence team whilst partnering with the HR Project Management group and HR business lines to assess the development needs and consult with them on alternatives by providing an evaluation of options with recommendations to meet needs. Collaborate with client to develop, test and implement best alternative.

Lead HR technology projects of small to moderate scope and complexity. This would include evaluating issues, formulating a plan of action with required resources and estimated timelines, communicating status to clients and executing plan through implementation.
